BLUE STEEL (BLST)
Known popular as 'New Production Scrap' or 'Bonus Grade Scrap' this grade
comprises of
Scrap metal generated from Fabrication Units, cut lengths of Rebar obtained from Cut and
Bend factories and cut pieces of other items such as Structural Steel, Plates, Billets, Blooms, Stampings,
Forging, etc.

REINFORCEMENT BARS/ DEFORMED BARS (DBRL)
Premium Grade: This material comprises of Re-bars of thickness ranging from 25mm
to 40mm. The length varies from a minimum of 1m.
Normal Grade: This material comprises of Rebars of thickness ranging from 16mm to 20mm.
The length varies from a minimum of 1m.

STRUCTURAL STEEL / HEAVY SECTION / FLAT PRODUCTS
This mainly comprises of plates, H-beams, I-beams, Angles, Channels, etc with a
minimum thickness of 8mm and above. The minimum length for this grade of scrap metal is 1m.

HMS 1
HMS 1 grade conforms to ISRI 200/201/202 specifications of Institute of Scrap
Recycling conform
Industries, Inc. USA. It consists of cut lengths of Pipe, Re-bar, Angles, Steel Poles, H or I - Beams
Ship's Plate and so on normally cut to a size not exceeding 1.5m X 0.5m and a thickness of
6mm.

PLATES & STRUCTURALS (PANS)
Plates and Structural grade of scrap metal conforms to ISRI 236/237 /238
specifications of Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. USA and mainly comprises of thick
Structural Steel profiles such as H-Beams, I -Beams, Angles, Pipes, Piling Sheets, Merchant Bars, and
other heavy materials.

MOON CUT PIPES (NORL)
Known commercially as "Moon - Cuts", this kind of scrap is generated from the
cutting of large diameter pipes used in the oil industry. These pipes can be straight welded or spiral
welded and the wall thickness must be of minimum 8mm with no limit on the maximum.

HMS 1 & 2 (80:20) (HMSL)
This is the most widely traded grade of scrap metal worldwide and conforms to
ISRI 200/201/202/203/204/205/206 specifications of Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. USA. It
consists of a mix of heavier HMS 1 grade scrap and lighter steel scrap such as sheet scrap (less than
3.2mm thick), thin wall tubing and galvanized and blackened steel.

FOUNDRY GRADE SCRAP METAL
This grade of scrap metal is most suitable for WCB grade castings.

MIS-ROLLS /BILLET END-CUTS (RSOT)
Mis- Rolls are rejections produced when Billets are heated during the rolling
process in a rolling mill. Billet End-Cuts are generated when a billet passes through rolls for thickness
reduction and it falls off the production line and scrapped for re-use.

SS 410
SS 410 contains a minimum of 11.5% of Chromium, 0.75% of Nickel, 0 .04% of
Phosphorus and 0.03% of Sulphur. It contains just enough Chromium to give corrosion resistance properties.
View
SS 304
SS 304 is the standard "18/8" stainless steel. It is the most versatile and
widely used stainless steel, available in a wider range of products, forms, and finishes than any other.
View
SS 2205
SS 2205 is the most widely used duplex stainless-steel grade. It finds
applications due to both excellent corrosion resistance and high strength.
View
SS 316
SS 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade and contains a higher percentage
of Molybdenum and Nickel than 55 304. It contains a minimum of 2% of Molybdenum and 10% - 14% of Nickel.
View
SS 316L
SS 316L is the low carbon version of SS 316 and is immune from sensitization
(grain boundary carbide precipitation). Thus, it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components
(over 6mm).
